I thought I'd cut back on fan noise and heat, so I picked up a fanless GeForce FX 5200 video card on Ebay... I tried hooking it up to my HDTV by DVI -> HDMI like my previous setup. Well, I had no success... I thought something was wrong when the BIOS didn't even pick it up for the boot screen. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get any signal on my TV's HDMI input.
From what I read, a lot of others have had this problem.
So, two horrible days later, and I've got my old card back in there. If anyone could recommend a good, cheap, quiet, cool, fanless video card that can handle 1080i over DVI -> HDMI, please let me know!
